Experiential Education Program
We believe in educating the whole child and in building community.
We recognize that not everything necessary in education can be achieved on the school premises. Students need challenge and change; they need to be taken out of their comfort zones in order to learn about themselves and others. They need to learn to value their peers by seeing their skills in other lights than the classroom.
We, therefore, require all our students from Grade 4 to Grade 12 to participate in Project Discover, our experiential education program, at least once each year. Graded in difficulty to be age-appropriate and varied in content to be interesting, our activities include camping, hiking, ecological studies, marine studies, intensive planning retreats and running programs for disadvantaged children.
